Primulina ‘SCBG Violet Dreams’, 2021, IR211591, hybridized by Ning Zu-lin, Li Dong-mei, Chen Ling, South China Botanical Garden, Guangzhou, China. Primulina eburnea chance seedling selection. Seeds planted 08.10.2014, first flowering 03.23.2016. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves deep green, 6-10 cm long, 3.5-5.5 cm wide, 3-5 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate base, acute tip, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, green, 1.2-1.5 cm. Length of the pedicel 1-2 cm, 5-12 flowers per axil. Bracts broadly ovate,3.0-3.6×2.0-2.8 cm, margin purple pink. Corolla salverform, 4.5-5.2 cm long, 2.2×2.8 cm wide, strong violet, throat with white and strong orange patches, filament strong orange. It prefers a good natural light and moist substrate.
