Primulina ‘Yuyang’s Chang’e’

Primulina ‘Yuyang’s Chang’e’, 2021, IR211697, hybridized by Yuyang Lei, Qinghui Cai, Haixia Yan, Dayan Tao, Shuming Luo; Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Nanning, China. (P. sinovietnamica x P. ophiopogoides). Cross made 05.17.2020, seeds planted 11.19.2020, first flowering 11.19.2021. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves green, 4.7-5.5 cm long, 1.7-2.5 cm wide, 0.6-1.5 cm petiole, ovate with cordate base, acute tip, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, green with purple tip, 3-4 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-1.7 cm, 5 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.0-3.1 cm long, 1.8-2.1 cm wide, white with purplish. The plant requires brighter but indirect light. It is tolerant to drought and high temperatures.
