Primulina ‘Zhou’s Golden River’

Primulina ‘Zhou’s Golden River’, 2021, IR211646, hybridized by Fang Wen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. carinata ‘GCCC’s Whitish Pouch’ x P. albicalyx). Cross made 04.22.2019, seeds planted 11.11.2019, first flowering 05.30.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem ca.0.5 cm. Leaves green with indistinct pale greenish-yellow main and lateral veins forming indistinct white net; slightly fleshy, both surfaces sparsely pubescent, ca.3 cm long, 2-2.5 cm wide, 4-6 cm petiole, orbicular with cordate base, rounded tip, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, whitish green, ca. 1 cm. Length of the pedicel 1.5-2 cm, usually 1-2, sometimes more flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2 cm long, ca. 1.7 cm wide, yellow with brownish red lines in corolla inside. Small size plant. Prefers brightly scattered light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not over-fertilize and overwater. Sensitive to cold.
