Primulina ‘Zhou’s Penglai Pavilion’

Primulina ‘Zhou’s Penglai Pavilion’, 2021, IR211651, hybridized by Fang Wen, Wei-Chuen Chou, Yi-Gang Wei; Guangxi Institute of Botany; Guilin, China. (P. yangshuoensis x P. hochiensis var. ochroleuca). Cross made 06.14.2019, seeds planted 11.11.2019, first flowering 07.22.2020. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem ca. 0.5 cm. Leaves dark green with greenish white fishbone-shaped veins; slightly fleshy, both surfaces densely puberulent, 2-3 cm long, 1.6-2.5 cm wide, 1-1.5 cm petiole, ovate with cuneate to oblique base, acute tip, entire margin, hairy. Calyx split, purplish green, ca. 5 mm. Length of the pedicel ca. 1.5 cm, 1, occasionally 2- 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, ca. 2.0 cm long, ca. 1.4 cm wide, pale purple with yellow shading, throat having two brightly yellow stripes inside. Plant on a small side. Prefers brightly scattered natural light; moist but well-drained & calcium-rich substrate (equal to PH ≥7.0); do not over-fertilize and overwater, sensitive to cold.
