Achimenes ‘SRG’s Cherry Blossoms’

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Cherry Blossoms’, 2022, IR221775, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. seedling 2009 x A. seedling 2009). Cross made 04.2010, seeds planted 01.2011, first flowering 07.2011. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect habit, stem length 15 cm. Leaves green, 4 cm long, 3 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 3 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3 cm long, 4 cm wide, double cherry red and white. Best grown in a strong filtered light, preferably outdoors.
