Achimenes ‘SRG’s Limoncello’

Achimenes ‘SRG’s Limoncello’ 2022, IR221809, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. HS-119-2008 x A. HS-23-2008). Cross made 04.2009, seeds planted 02.2010, first flowering 08.2010. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect habit, stem length 15 cm. Leaves light green, 4 cm long, 3 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate, acute tip, cuneate base, serrate margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 1.5 cm, 2 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 4 cm wide, yellow occasionally with red splashes on the petals. Heavily blooming self-branching compact cultivar tolerant to direct sun.
