Achimenes ‘SRG’s Morning Dew’ 2022, IR221799, hybridized by Serge Saliba, Bucharest, Romania. (A. ‘Erik Blue’ x A. unnamed seedling). Cross made 05.2009, seeds planted 01.2010, first flowering 08.2010. Sterile, reproducible only vegetatively. Erect to trailing habit, stem length 20 cm. Leaves light green, 4 cm long, 3 cm wide, 2 cm petiole, ovate to lanceolate, acute to acuminate tip, cuneate base, deeply serrated margin. Calyx split, green, length 4 mm, length of the pedicel 3.5 cm, 4 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, double, 3 cm long, 4 cm wide, white and purple. Tiny double bi-colored white and purple blossoms make a beautiful display if young stems are pinched at least three times. Suitable for outdoor growing in hanging baskets.
