Primulina ‘Cheese Berry’

Primulina ‘Cheese Berry’, 2022, IR221827, hybridized by Jiaxin Fu, Guangzhou, Guandong, China. (P. carinata x P. heterochroa). Cross made 10.20.2019, seeds planted 12.13.2019, first flowering 12.05.2020. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, stem length 1.5-2.5 cm. Leaves dark green, 6.0-9.0 cm long, 3.5-5.0 cm wide, 1.5-2.0 cm petiole, ovate, rounded tip, cuneate base, entire margin, smooth. Calyx split, green, 5 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.0-1.5 cm, 3-7 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 2.8-3.0 cm long, 1.6-2.0 cm wide, golden yellow with brownish red stripes, outside of the corolla is purple. Prefers bright scattered natural light, water-retaining but breathable grow medium.
