Primulina ‘Paloma Blanca’

Primulina ‘Paloma Blanca’, 2022, IR221729, hybridized by Le Luo, Dong He, Yueya Li, Qixiang Zhang; School of Landscape Architecture, Beijing Forestry University, Beijing, China. (P. ‘Purple Sandae’ x P. pungentisepala). Cross made 01.2019, seeds planted 05.2019, first flowering 01.2021. Reproducible only vegetatively. Basal rosette, acaulescent. Leaves fern green, 19.1-24.9 cm long, 5.3-7.3 cm wide, 4.0-8.0 cm petiole, elliptic with cuneate base, acute tip, serrate margin, hairy. Calyx split, peak green, 6.5-9.5 mm. Length of the pedicel 1.8-3.7 cm, 2-6 flowers per axil. Corolla salverform, 3.5 cm long, 2.8-4.5 cm wide, lilac to pinkish purple. This hybrid has strong shade-tolerance, and great indoor viewing potential. The flowering period lasts from December to next March, plant has strong shade tolerance.
