Virtual Convention 2021
June 28 to July 3, 2021

The Gesneriad Society is truly an international organization. Not only do gesneriads grow wild in more than 80 countries on six continents, but our Society has members in almost 50 countries all around the world. This year’s Virtual Convention focused on the extent of our international appeal by having virtual presentations from various growers and researchers from around the world.

The Virtual Convention was open to everyone and was held during the week of June 28 – and over 700 members and non-members registered. They had the opportunity to listen to six international speakers, several student presentations, three talks for those new to gesneriads, meetings/programs from the Gesneriad Hybridizers Association and Conservation Committee, and attend our Annual Meeting … in addition to the 2021 Virtual Flower Show, with 300 entries, which opened on Friday, July 2.
